They do make spirits that are flavored with other whiskies. But pineapple isn’t one of them. It was actually an April Fool’s gag played by the brand and distillery in 2022. Let’s get into it and prove it.

The Fake Crown Royal Pineapple Proof
1. April Fools
The internet’s first rule is not to trust news that breaks on April 1st each year. Brands love to laugh, especially brands that are part of the leisure and entertainment category, as alcohol does. Sam Adams, for example, released a helium beer years ago on April Fool’s Day. That day was a sad one for many people, including us. Helium Beer, however, is also fake. You are in serious trouble if the release date for Helium Beer is April Fool’s.

2. The Crown Royal website does not list this information.
It is hard to believe that any product not listed on the official website for a Spirit-producing firm can be considered real. Our Thoughts
Our excitement for the Pineapple Crown Royal was exhilarating. Peach is not our favorite fruit. Apple, although regal in its own way, is now a commodity. However, pineapple whisky is our snake charm. It is (potentially) the reason we get up in the morning other than to run this website.

We’re looking for the double sweetness of pineapple and whiskey. It can be used in a variety of cocktails, but you also have the option to add it to your favorite mixed drinks. Or, just enjoy it sipped over a few ice cubes. We’d even drink it straight.
